The California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) was passed in November 2020, providing updates and clarifications to the California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA) which is currently in effect. While many of us are preoccupied with preparations for the elimination of the third-party cookie, it is important to not lose sight of the implications of these regulatory changes as well.

The new regulation goes into effect on January 1, 2023 and becomes enforceable on July 1, 2023. Since user access and deletion requirements do apply to personal information collected in the past 12 months, you need to have the structures for compliance in place by mid 2022 at the latest.

In this interactive session, we’ll cover everything marketers will need to know about the CPRA including:

  • How the CPRA defines sharing
  • The CPRA’s impact on extended consumer rights
  • Why it’s important to have a data retention strategy moving forward
  • And much more!
