The main differences between Universal Analytics (UA) and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) lie in their tracking models. UA relies on a session-based tracking model, focusing on pageviews and sessions. You will not lose your Universal Analytics setup by upgrading to Google Analytics 4, as they are separate tags.
