I found myself doing a lot of research this weekend and as a result here comes this post with tips and ideas for how to make your search better:
You can search individual site for a keyword by using “site:” in front of the URL:
“site:infotrustllc.com michael loban” searches infotrustllc.com for all pages that reference michael loban
You can use “filetype:” to look for a specific type of file, for example a ppt
“site:infotrustllc.com filetype:pdf training” searches infotrustllc.com for all files of type PDF that contain keyword “training”
you can get a lot of fascinating insight from doing a “related:site url” search
“related:infotrustllc.com”
To find out how many pages are linking to your page type “link:URL”
“link: facebook.com/infotrust” shows number of links to InfoTrust Facebook page
