If you’re a software engineer who is currently considering a new opportunity or interested in what being an engineer at a fast-growing company with an award-winning culture looks like, then look no further.
We were able to sit down with a few members of our engineering team recently to discuss what a day in the life of an engineer looks like during the first 90 days at InfoTrust. From onboarding to project ownership, this overview showcases what being an employee of InfoTrust is all about.
Engineers at InfoTrust
Our engineering team is made up of individuals from both our CDG (Consumer Data Governance) and Discovery teams. Each team works with our proprietary Tag Inspector tool, as well as Google Tag Manager. The assigned projects for each team vary depending on skill set and client needs. Engineers are also provided the opportunity to collaborate with other teams to learn additional tools and technologies.
First 30 Days
In your first 30 days at InfoTrust, being introduced to the team, industry, and culture are of the utmost importance. Our team prides itself on providing multiple resources on your journey to success within your role as an engineer. The training and development team has implemented a thorough plan that introduces you to Tag Inspector and other tools that will allow you to hit the ground running. In addition, you will be assigned an onboarding buddy who is there to assist you with any questions that you may have along the way.
Next 60-90 Days
As you progress beyond your initial 30 days, you will shift your focus to integration with clients. This will serve as the first step in taking 100 percent ownership of the clients that you are assigned. You will be given two onboarding projects and presentations, varying in topics such as Google Analytics, Tag Inspector, etc. Additionally, you will also be asked to complete certain certifications (typically Google Analytics) to increase your knowledge during this period.
Beyond 90 Days
Once you have eclipsed your 90-day milestone, you will be fully versed in Google Analytics and Tag Inspector. Now you are ready to fully take on clients and assist them with their technical needs. As the main point of contact for InfoTrust, you are responsible for leading projects within the team to ensure that client requests are completed.
Final Thoughts
As you can see, life at InfoTrust as an engineer provides a great opportunity to increase your knowledge and enhance your technical skill set, while working with top-tier clients in our industry. Here at InfoTrust, you will develop lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike as you grow in your career and within the organization.
