Tag Inspector: October 2026 Release Notes

The following updates are included in the October 6, 2026 Tag Inspector release, available to all contracting accounts beginning October 6, 2026.

Notable Updates

[Beta] User Journey Auditing - Integration With Website Audits

Integration of the BETA User Journey Auditing capability for integrated management of all consent audit types. Accounts with User Journey Auditing can now save recorded user journeys to their account, configure user journey audits, and access past individual user journey audit reports together in the same workflow as website audits.

Bulk Upload of Website Audit Configurations

Enhancements to the Bulk Website Audit Upload experience allow users with large website estates to upload website audit configurations with URL scan rules and advanced settings applied. Additional updates simplify the experience to make modifications of audit configurations when reviewing the full upload scope before submitting to begin audits.

Audit a Defined List of URLs via CSV Upload

Tag Inspector now supports the auditing of a defined list of URLs to include in a website audit. By uploading a CSV list of URLs, website audits can be configured to audit a specific subset of critical pages for a website to address needs for more frequent auditing of high-leverage website sections.

Minor Updates

Reporting API Enhancements

The reporting API has been expanded for additional data points from audits and tag inventory outputs.

Pages Missing Tags Reporting in Website Audit Reports

For all tags found in a website audit, users can now clearly view what pages are missing each tag to identify coverage gaps for critical tags such as a Tag Management System, analytics, and Consent Management Platforms.
