Over the next couple of weeks, we will have different co-ops share their experience to date here at InfoTrust. Hope you enjoy!
When asked to share about my internship experience at InfoTrust, my initial thought was “Do they want me to write a novel?” Having been here for almost 3 years, I’ve experienced and learned a lot. I’ve seen the company nearly double in size, have worked in 3 different departments (Sales, Marketing and Consulting) and have had the opportunity to meet some amazing people along the way. For your sake, I’ll condense this into a few short paragraphs 🙂
Hands down, my favorite part of working at InfoTrust has been the amazing culture. I’ve already written a blog post about this, InfoTrust’s Culture Through The Eyes of an Intern, so I won’t expand upon this point too much. Check out the post if you want to read more (shameless plug, I know).
Working at InfoTrust has been quite an experience. Coming here as a sophomore in college, knowing very little about digital marketing or web analytics, was eye opening. I was about to enter into unfamiliar territory and step out of my comfort zone – which can be a scary (but exciting!) venture. Over the years, I’ve developed skills that I never would have dreamed I would learn. Sometimes I like to think back on my first day at the company (sidebar: I came to work dressed in business professional…if you’ve ever been to the office or know anything about our culture, you’ll appreciate how funny this is). Anyway…..if you would have told 20 year old Jill what she would be doing on a day-to-day basis 3 years in the future, she probably would have laughed at you.
(Like Evan mentioned in his recent post, gifs are very important at InfoTrust. They really do make everything better).
In those (almost) 3 years, I have become a HubSpot Inbound Marketing Certified Professional, a Google AdWords and Analytics Qualified Individual as well as a Bing Ads Accredited Professional. InfoTrust does a great job preparing it’s full-time employees and interns for success in their professional lives because, well, everyone here actually cares about you. I’m lucky enough to have had a fantastic manager and equally wonderful bosses and coworkers – everything I’ve learned can be attributed to them! So, if you are all reading this (which you should be), shout out to you!
These skills will undoubtedly help me in my next professional endeavor…Google (yep, I’m interning at the Big G in the Fall). While I’m incredibly sad to leave next semester, I’m eternally grateful to InfoTrust for providing me with the tools I need to continue into this next chapter of my professional life.
