I think there are two fundamental principles to business success. Number 2 is cash flow, but we are not going to talk just about fiscal responsibility. Number 1 is having the best people.
Somebody smart once said – no business plan ever survives meeting with reality. You attract the best people, you provide them with the best working conditions and magic happens.
In the words of legendary Netflix culture manifesto, “…we are a pro sports team, not a kid’s recreational team…” We owe it to the team to hire, develop and when necessary make cutting decisions so our team members can continue working with the best of the best – people who help them grow, learn and contribute. People who are smart, motivated, passionate, get things done, have strong character..and are fun to be around. All those things that describe every single member of our team.
To celebrate our team, we all took our families and went out to Dave & Busters for some eating, drinking, pool, competitive racing, alien and zombie shooting, four-person air hockey (you got to check it out, it’s out of control) and many other fun things that you can see in the photos below.
Oh yeah, we are Finalists for Best Places to work in Cincinnati for second year in the row, but would you expect anything less? And we are just getting started…
