At InfoTrust, using our success to give back to the communities we inhabit is a great part of our culture. This includes our team members who live and work in various communities all over the globe. Through our nonprofit organization, The InfoTrust Foundation, we create miracles centered around these causes.
While our Columbus team works mostly remote, we had the opportunity last month to connect in-person with a local organization, The Childhood League. Our team learned about their organization and provided support to their team onsite.
What Is The Childhood League Center?
Since 1945, The Childhood League Center is a nonprofit organization that has been supporting children and families in need in Columbus, Ohio through education, community, and personalized support. The Childhood League Center serves more than 500 children from birth to six years old who have developmental delays and their families. Their vision, “to transform challenging starts into unstoppable futures,” is put into action through close partnerships with families, educators, intervention specialists, social workers, and a health and nutrition team. This includes mental health, speech-language, occupational, and physical therapists to support each child’s unique needs.
Another unique aspect of the Childhood League Center’s values is the focus on inclusion. This means that “Every child can benefit from our developmentally appropriate, social, play-based learning environment where children develop and practice social-emotional learning.” Celebrating the strengths and different abilities of all children provides a specialized learning experience for every child and family.
Columbus Team’s Visit
Our Columbus team received a tour of the innovative center, including the award-winning playground area and classrooms. We were very impressed with the attention to detail throughout the center and could really tell that kids and families were the driving purpose behind every choice made. After the thorough tour, we supported the team by cleaning and organizing the indoor gymnasium and cafeteria. It was great to be hands-on, supporting a great organization while bonding with our team. While we toured and volunteered on an off-day for the children, we hope to return in the future to help with art projects and work with the kids.
This special experience made our team excited to return and continue the InfoTrust Columbus partnership with the Childhood League Center. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to a cause in our community and look forward to supporting further initiatives in the future.
