The team at InfoTrust follows one key message everyday:
“Our success is someone else’s miracle”
Supporting our local communities has always been a driving force for the global team, especially around holidays such as Thanksgiving where giving back and sharing is a common theme. What started in Cincinnati back in 2013 has now expanded worldwide and is kicking off in Chicago this year with our newest office. But what is Basket Brigade and what does it mean to our communities?
Basket Brigade is a mission, cause and global effort to provide communities and families in need with food, supplies and materials they otherwise would not have due to their circumstances. Over the years, InfoTrust Foundation has helped schools in impoverished areas obtain supplies that were not available for teachers in Philippines, donated blankets and hygienic products to women’s shelters in Sri Lanka and homeless in India and even have delivered hundreds of baskets of food to families across the United States—hence the name, Basket Brigade. At InfoTrust, giving back is not only a suggestion but a core value, mantra and cultural norm.
Our new Chicago office in partnership with 1871, a Google for Entrepreneurs tech hub, will be launching a Basket Brigade effort in Chicagoland to feed over 200 families this Thanksgiving! We are supporting the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago to provide 200 baskets, which will satisfy the majority of the patients and their families in the hospital. Each basket includes everything a family needs for a full Thanksgiving meal. The goal to help 1000 families worldwide now includes Chicago as a key part of this initiative.
“Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago truly thanks you for your generous support of our patients, family, and staff. From boo boos to blood disorders, families rely on Lurie Children’s. To provide the best family-centered care for all our patients, no matter their circumstances, we rely on corporate partners like you. Thank you again and we look forward to further developing this partnership with InfoTrust” - Zack Rogers (Coordinator, Corporate Partnerships)
So how can you help?
We would love for you to be a part of our Basket Brigade in Chicago! The best way to help us support local families is to make a tax-deductible donation to the InfoTrust Foundation website. All donations will be used to purchase the necessary goods and food supplies for Chicago and other communities. If you are an 1871 member company or affiliated party, and want to help us pack baskets, make plans to join us at 1871 on Friday, November 9th at noon.
