“Amazing things happen when smart, capable people believe they can achieve something.”
This statement from philanthropist, entrepreneur, and founder of Priceline.com, Jeff Hoffman, encapsulates the mission that fuels the InfoTrust, a digital analytics consulting and technology company based in Cincinnati. When co-founders Alex Yastrebenetsky and Michael Loban turned their dream into a reality over a decade ago, they aimed to build a company regularly recognized as a “best place to work.”
Fast-forward to 2020, and InfoTrust is again finding itself on national lists for such honors.
Each year, the Ad Age Best Places to Work rankings honor 50 U.S.-based companies (broken into two size categories). On the publication’s 2020 list, InfoTrust sits at No. 5 among companies with 200 or fewer employees.
Key to InfoTrust’s success is the team’s commitment to its core values of: growth, diversity, impact, innovation, respect, and ownership. Quoted in Ad Age’s article on InfoTrust’s unique culture, Talent Acquisition and Operations Manager Lisa Wilms said, “A lot of companies talk about core values on your first day and then you never hear about them again. We truly put them into every decision we make, including hiring decisions.”
In 2019, InfoTrust earned the No. 23 spot in the Ad Age Best Places to Work ranking, and No. 20 in 2017. (There was no list released in 2018). The significant jump to No. 5 in 2020 reflects the continued buy-in by employees and commitment by the company to their well-being. Beyond the company’s benefits—which include an open PTO policy, medical, dental, and vision insurance, daily catered lunches, and tuition reimbursement—InfoTrust puts a strong emphasis on giving back to the communities in which its employees live and work.
Via the InfoTrust Foundation In 2019, the company donated Thanksgiving meals in the form of baskets to families at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, as well as other local nonprofits. Members of the team also volunteer their time one a month with Adopt a Class, which connects businesses, as mentors, with students in schools with high percentages of poverty. These are just a few of the many local and global outreaches the InfoTrust team participates in annually.
The winning workplaces in the 2020 Ad Age ranking “reflect the highest overall numerical scores based on an analysis of questionnaires submitted by employers and survey responses of their employees,” per the publication. To see the full ranking, click here.
“Michael [Loban] and I are thrilled that our team once again made the Ad Age Best Places to Work list, but more humbled than anything that our team responded so positively to the survey,” InfoTrust CEO Alex Yastrebenetsky said. “To make an impact in your community and grow your business, we truly believe that a company must first take care of its own employees. And we only hope to improve in this area as we head towards 2021.”
In 2019, InfoTrust was also named to the following lists:
- Fortune 50 Best Small Workplaces
- Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces
- Cincinnati Business Courier’s Best Places to Work
- Best Employers in Ohio (No. 1)
- Cincinnati Business Courier’s Fast 55
